A cool spot tucked away on post alley, which means it's usually a little more relaxed than other places downtown. The tap list doesn't rotate much, but always has some good beers, and the fish and chips is unbeatable, especially with happy hour pricing.

Tucked away where locals hang out. We visited many years ago with a nephew. It's off the beaten path and we stopped in for a cool pint on an unusually warm Seattle afternoon. Would have loved to try the food but weren't hungry.

It definitely reminded me of an Irish pub. The service was great and our waitress was friendly and as fast as she could be. The atmosphere was charming and quaint. I loved it and look forward to going back.

This is a nice low-key place to enjoy a beer and wait for the ferry or kill some time for anything else. It's pretty chill. Unless there is a game. Then it's a bit more vibrant.

Lonely Planet recommended, and it was RIGHT-off the tourist path. Mostly locals. You can sit in the bar and be loud or find a quiet table. I disagree with reviewers who describe this as a dive bar It’s not. Friendly. Smallish but tasty menu.

A Classic bar with a lot of character. Great place to hang out and play some pool or some darts with good music in the background. To top it off. THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN SEATTLE!! That's right all caps. Try it. You won't regret it.

Arguably the best tartar sauce in existence. Split a 4 piece Fish n Chip and a cup of soup so we could try the soda bread. My Irish counterpart said while it wasn’t reminiscent of her family’s soda bread, it was delightful in its own right. Memories of this place almost 20 years ago and having a (now nonexistent) happy hour bite and beer before dashing to catch a ferry lend a bit of nostalgia to a place that also holds the longest running jazz jam session in Seattle. If you ever need a dose of good grub and you are near Post Alley, get to the Owl N’ Thistle!

Essential Seattle. Period. One of the last great surviving downtown watering holes with mostly-free live music. Solid prices...especially cheap for downtown. It feels like a hidden treasure, and in fact it is. Ideal walking proximity to Seahawks/Sounders/Mariners stadiums, and even closer to the waterfront ferries.

A great Irish pub that knows how to pour a Guinness. Not too crowded and even had live jazz on Thursday nights!

I love this place....very small irish bar. The food is not fancy which is to my liking....but the fish and chips Fish were melt in my mouth and the beef stew was hot and great. The stage here for the band is tiny....about 4 people comfortable, 5 people a little more smoothed. Because it is a small more intimate entertainment space, it doesn't need to be ear blistering and it wasn't....thank you sound man! We came to hear an Irish themed band The Blarneytones) but the lead singer was sick. Next month the Scuppermonkies will be here!! Love that fun Irish themed band .
